Project Background

Organik Kimya, operating in the chemical industry, is an established company conducting numerous sample analyses daily in its R&D and quality control laboratories. Most of these analyses were performed manually and required both timeliness and measurement precision.

However during this process:
  • Incorrect classification of samples,
  • Measurement deviations due to human error,
  • And inability to monitor analysis results in a digital environment.

To eliminate these problems, digitize the analysis process and make it more reliable, we collaborated with Organik Kimya.

What We Did

Our team developed a hardware cabinet suitable for the laboratory environment and a software solution integrated with this cabinet. This system aimed to eliminate human error by recording the analyzed samples both visually and numerically.

Work carried out:
  • A special laboratory cabinet was designed and installed to enable sample analysis.
  • With custom Python-based software, measurements were taken digitally and automatically.
  • Samples were automatically classified and recorded using image processing algorithms.
  • Analysis results were transferred to the digital environment in a repeatable and auditable way.

What We Solved

The main problems we aimed to solve in this project were:
  • Automating measurement and classification processes prone to human error
  • Eliminating uncertainties arising from non-repeatable analyses
  • Increasing efficiency and reliability by digitizing laboratory processes

With the system we developed: • All analyses were standardized and made measurable • When the same sample was analyzed again at different times, the same results were obtained • A data archive was created for audit and retrospective review

Results Achieved

When the project was completed:
  • Laboratory analyses were moved 100% to the digital environment
  • Incorrect classifications were largely eliminated
  • Analyses became repeatable and significant improvements were achieved in quality processes
  • A noticeable increase was observed in time savings and staff efficiency

General Evaluation

This project we carried out with Organik Kimya became an important milestone in the digitalization of laboratory processes. The system we developed not only reduced errors but also increased the reliability of scientific analyses, enabling R&D and quality control units to make healthier decisions. This success showed how effective our software solutions can be even in technical areas outside production.
